concentration update

okay i think i have a littler clearer of a direction for my concentration, thanks to some suggestions from kirsh. i think i am going to do the 5 stages of greif: Denial and Isolation, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, and Acceptance. of the 7 stages of acceptance: Shock, Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, Testing, Acceptance... which is basically the same thing except one has a few more stages than the other. And through the use of my photo's of technology i will show these different stages

This is what i have so far:

angeracceptance

depression(?)
.so leave me comments tell me what you think. tell me if you like the idea, hate it, or anything in between...
thanks

MIDTERM

this first image is actually a concentration piece. My concentration was initially to the relationship between man and technology. i wanted to show "technology take-over"or how are world revolves around technology. However, i decided to go in a different direction. rather than showing technology taking over the world i decided to show the beauty in technology and man's embracement of it. This is the first concentration piece that i completed. to be honest, i am a little unsure that this is the direction i want to go with my concentration just because it feels a little commercial or something. i think i might compare these pictures of a cd player to pictures of an ipod to show the evolution.

This second piece is a picture of my friend Alexis that i created as part of a breath assignment. i cannot tell you how many times i added changed the color, added lines, took lines off, or just altered it in anyway. it awhile until i was completely happy with it, but i think in the end it turned out really well.

This piece was also part of the breath assignment. In fact, it was the first breath assignment i completed. i am happy with the way it turned out, except i need to edit the picture on the left. In that set of 3 images, that picture is just a little out of place because the lines in center are all the same color whereas the other images have more than 2 colors.

This image is also a breath piece. it was part of the paper bag assignment in which we had to take pictures of paper bags. i am fairly happy with out this image turned out. i don't think it is the greatest picture i have ever made, but it isn't the worst so i am happy with it.

I guess this final piece is a breath piece. it wasn't actually part of an assignment; it was just a picture that i took and really liked and decided to play around with it in photoshop. im not sure what exactly made me want to play around with the contrast and change the color of the water. i just thought that maybe i would give it more of a mystical feeling... this piece was really random, i didn't exactly know what i was doing with the image when i started out but i am happy with the end result.
